Developing Leadership Skills

Developing Leadership Skills

The final day has come for the University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Hanoi, Vietnam. The morning sessions were focused on servant leadership and developing our leadership skills as the future of our world. Even though the final day was a long one the final performances once again touched my heart. The Hope Band that performed for presidents and royalty performed for our symposium group but they had a special gift. They were all blind. The musicians played some of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and they did so from learning the tones of notes and the feel of the instruments in their hands. Another group called the Miracle Children Choir performed and it brought every delegate to their feet to sing together with the children who face adversity and overcome it everyday in this developing nation. Once the performances concluded we viewed our video and went on our way. I will never forget the people I had the opportunity to bond with on this learning journey.
